_**ABOUT THE ROLE**_

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform 3-way match with invoices, purchase order and receiving.
- Review invoices and purchase orders to ensure all required signoffs are completed.
- Verify proper receipts and backup documentation for all expenses and payables.
- Ensure alignment between purchase orders and invoice amounts.
- Batch payables accurately according to the accounting period.
- Correct and balance accounts payable entries.
- Reconcile and balance the cheque register when cheques are processed.
- Prepare payables for signature by splitting and organizing cheques.
- File all signed cheques systematically.
- Generate and maintain a daily bank report.
- Complete and manage vendor maintenance forms as needed.
- Respond promptly to telephone inquiries regarding accounts payable and payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate updates and changes to A/P procedures to branches.
- Process freight payables as required.
- Adhere to and comply with ECCO’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

**QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES**
- **Education & Experience**_
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- **Skills & Knowledge**_
- Proficiency in accounts payable processes.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills (multitask, manage time efficiently), accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and highly organized.
- Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Good problem - solving skills.
- Data entry skills.
