Are you passionate about building positive relationships, problem solving, and working within a collaborative team environment? Our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray is adding a maintenance expert to be the point of contact for our site contractors. This role will work closely with contractor leadership and front-line workers to ensure excellent safety and maintenance programs are in place and functioning.

You’ll be working in our dynamic Mine Equipment Maintenance group for our Truck Shop and Shovels Maintenance

Minimum Requirements:
- Five years maintenance or operations leadership experience- A post-secondary degree or equivalent education or a valid Alberta Journeyperson Certificate or an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Certificate and/or certification- The ability to effectively manage multiple people, safety, and commercial strategies in a high complexity work environment.

**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain a visible presence in the field to cultivate worker engagement, verify safe conditions, learn from workers, and assess work process effectiveness- Partner with Supply Chain to build strong and effective supplier relationships- Help lead contractor performance sessions and collaborate with vendors to identify risk and opportunity.- Improve safety through smart investigations that recognize people make mistakes- Continuously examine processes for opportunities to build capacity to fail safe.- Collaborate closely with your maintenance cross functional team to maximize equipment availability through providing input into work packages, schedules, equipment component life planning, and workforce priorities- Provide backfill support for support for Maintenance supervision when needed- Developed a detailed understanding of Mine Equipment Maintenance Services

Location and other key details:
- You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta- The shift schedule is a seven days on / seven days off rotation OR seven days on, seven days off, seven nights on, seven nights off; 12-hour shifts- This is a safety sensitive position
