Maintenance Planner Scheduler

Are you a Planner with a passion for optimizing quality, efficiency, and costs? Daily maintenance work requires detailed planning and scheduling to optimize quality, efficiency and costs. The work must be evaluated in depth in order to identify the different steps, the materials, the equipment, and the labour that will be required for an optimal intervention, with the top priority being worker health and safety.

Collaborating closely with Operations, Engineering, General Contractors, craft supervisors, and vendors you will plan work, as well as lead and manage all aspects of the program maintenance system from start to finish. You will ensure safe and reliable operations of East Tank Farm (ETF) assets.

Minimum Requirements:
- Over 10 years’ work experience and expertise in trade background- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)- Mechanical trade certificate or diploma in a relevant technical field or equivalent technical and operational experience- 10 years of experience in the construction trades and of safety in work planning- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and previous experience in SAP- A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record- Ability to coordinate work- Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and mentor contractors- Strong knowledge of active damage mechanisms for pressure vessels, static and rotating assets- Previous experience as lead investigator for reliability incidents

**Responsibilities**:
- Evaluate the tasks and establish the sequence of the work steps in order to make the most efficient use of labour resources as a function of workers' respective skill sets, and establish each person's specific tasks- Prepare job plans with the planned cost and logical sequencing of tasks for scheduling- Detail and coordinate the supply of parts, materials, special tools, external services, and rental equipment taking into account multi-craft alignment- Update and maintain projects schedules for all phases of a project- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for ongoing planning and scheduling activities-
- Work with Turnaround Execution Supervisor to optimize work preparation

Location and other Key Details:
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday- This position is safety sensitive- You will work out of our East Tank Farm location in Fort McMurray Alberta
