**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the sales team with a clearly defined plan in an effort to achieve department sales goals and be profitable while monitoring expenses.
- Liaise with business development and marketing colleagues to identify needs and develop materials to support sales activities.
- Perform training with sales staff in weekly meetings and do one-on-one training as needed.
- Desk both new and used deals to maximize profitability.
- Handle any customer issues promptly and try to minimize customer inconvenience and maximize the dealership's customer image.
- Work closely and cooperatively with all departments.
- Communicate key competitive activities, market trends, and adapt customer development plans and priorities accordingly.
- Keep updated on all manufacturers and financial institutions' current products, programs, and incentives.
**Qualifications**:
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License
- Valid OMVIC License
- Knowledge of the automotive market
- Experience with VAuto and PBS is an asset but not necessary
- Strong leadership abilities
- Effective negotiation skills, with the ability to make sound decisions
- Positive can-do attitude
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a focus on client retention.
- Professional and process-oriented with a history of success in sales.
