**Payroll Administrator**

The Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront is looking for our next great applicant to take on the role of Payroll Generalist. Reporting to the Controller, you are an incredibly well-organized and detail oriented with strong communication skills. The Payroll Generalist will process the bi-weekly pay for a 200+ staff, perform daily reporting on revenues and labour and assist the Accounting team with month-end and year-end reporting. The Payroll Generalist works in close contact with all operating departments.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process the bi-monthly payroll for 200+ unionized staff
- Ensure the accuracy and timeless of all reports
- Review the daily payroll records for accuracy and corrections
- Collaborate with department managers on daily payroll issues
- Consolidate all revenue and labour inputs for day-by-day P&L reporting
- Maintain a meticulous schedule for report submissions and deliverables
- Respond to all staff payroll inquiries with empathy and clarity
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Actively listen and respond positively, resolving issues promptly
- Protect the privacy, security and confidentiality of all staff and managers
- Assist Accounting team, with month-end an year-end reporting
- Perform other job duties as assigned/requested.

**Education and Experience**
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Minimum 3 year of payroll experience
- Familiarity with Payroll Guardian and Opera
- Knowledge of the Employment Standards Act of British Columbia
- Experience in a unionized environment
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Formal accounting education is preferred
- Professional accounting designation is an asset

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

- Payroll Occupations: 1 year (preferred)
