**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, utilizing accounting software such as ADP, Comvida and Quickbooks.
- Process and review Comvida/ADP/Quickbooks input and output for 3-4 associated companies’ hourly payrolls comprising approximately 800 employees, both union and non-union.
- Ensure all companies’ payrolls are processed in accordance with BC and Alberta Employment Standards and WCB regulations, the BC companies’ Collective Agreement and all other applicable laws and regulations.
- Effectively communicate with ADP and Comvida regarding all payroll and system issues.
- Effectively use and maintain a combination of timesheets, electronic swipe systems, a scheduling system (Comvida) and payroll system (ADP).
- Review and ensure the payroll is processed according to existing procedures.
- Prepare ROEs using CRA ROE Web with extracts from ADP/Comvida/Quickbooks
- Ensure CRA remittances are processed accurately and timely, are reconciled to the payroll records and corrections are followed up as required.
- Process Payroll and Scheduling related to year-end closing procedures with assistance from other staff (Comvida Global Generation, ADP rate changes, T4 balancing, etc).
- Coordinate and ensure accuracy of all hourly employee wage rate increases.
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy of management reports and all Union, CRA, WCB reports, etc.
- Closely monitor the maintenance of Employees Payroll files and other Payroll related records.
- Remit employee garnishments to applicable government agencies.
- Prepare employment letters for employees as requested.
- Prepare short-term disability forms for employees.
- Assist with other administrative matters as requested.
- Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department to manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes related to payroll.
- Prepare reports related to payroll metrics, including hours worked, deductions, and taxes withheld.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk, Administrator or similar role in accounting or human resources.
- Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and regulations, with experience using payroll software.
- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for reporting purposes.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
