**18-month Maternity Leave Contract**
Birla Carbon in Hamilton is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Hamilton Plant. Reporting to the General Manager, the Administrative Assistant will provide effective and efficient administrative support to plants managerial staff. This is an 18 month maternity leave contract, open for 5 - 8 hours per day, five days a week.

**What We Do**:
Birla Carbon provides a complete portfolio of products to meet the specific end requirements across Rubber, Plastics, Coatings, Inks and other niche industries globally. Our customers include leading brands and companies across Tires, Rubbers, Plastics, Inks and Paints industries globally.
**Responsibilities**:
- Schedule and manage all visits from corporate visitors including accommodations, travel, meals, meeting rooms, communication and coordination with corporate office as needed
- Coordinate Community engagement programs to support organizations in the Hamilton area such as FoodShare, before school meal programs etc.
- Create signage for the plant using Cricut software
- Prepares, formats, composes and updates memos, correspondence, minutes, itineraries, calendars, newsletters, and other relevant documentation
- May be requested to support documentation management which includes copying, scanning, distribution, filing of training records, personnel files, production logs, MSDS’s, production reports, MOC’s, charts, databases, manuals and various presentations
- Planning, facilitation and purchasing of various needs for the plant and management staff such as travel, security, reservations, catering, meetings and service awards.
- Works with varying levels of management on completion of reports and data entry
**Requirements**:
- Strong MS Office skills
- Post-secondary accreditation a relevant field of study
- 3+ years of administrative experience
- Strong organizational skills or event planning
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Excellent computer skills: (MS Office, Outlook, Access, SAP, etc.)
