**Good Companions 50 Plus Club** is an activity, social, and learning centre for older adults, located in the community of Killarney. We provide seniors’ programs and services in a safe and inclusive environment. We are looking to hire a Receptionist/Office Assistant, starting August 1, 2025.

The Receptionist reports directly to the Executive Director, and is responsible for facilitating, overseeing, and coordinating various programs in line with the organizational goals.

**SKILL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Possesses good communication and assessment skills in working with seniors.
- Is familiar with office procedures, has the ability to multi-task in a changing environment.
- Is flexible and adapts to changes in policy, environment, and situation.
- Works well independently or collaboratively as the situation demands.
- Is amenable to work schedules that may vary from week to week.
- Is sensitive and has respect for all individual differences, including differences of age, culture, sex, ethnicity, and socio-economic status.
- Is comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), is a strong writer, and can design tickets, pamphlets and posters.
- Performs duties in a professional manner.
- Highly organized, proficient in data management, ability to prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in computer skills needed to manage all aspects of the position.
- Oversee and facilitate daily programs.
- Writing reports, and maintaining records.
- Handling cash and doing daily cashouts.
- Is flexible to changing conditions, schedules, and demands.
- Comfortable presenting to groups.
- Sets up and takes down tables and chairs for events.
- Has current First-Aid certificate.
- Fulfilling other tasks as required by the Executive Director.
- Understands and maintains confidentiality of information that is professionally acquired, including information received or observed about Staff, the Board, and Club Members.
- **EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE**:

- Undergraduate courses in Human Support Services, Recreation and Leisure preferred, or a combination of post-secondary education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience working in programming for seniors.
- Experience working in a not-for-profit organization, and interacting with Board of Directors.
- **WHAT WE OFFER**:

- Permanent full-time: Mon-Fri, 9:00-3:30, 30 hrs/wk
- $22/hr, paid bi-monthly
