**The Role**
We currently have an opening on our estimating team for a **Proposal Coordinator** to** **support various divisions and business units. This position is based out of the head office in Edmonton, AB and reports into the Estimating Manager. The **Proposal Coordinator **will assist the Preconstruction, Operations and Estimating teams to develop project cost projections, bid organization, assembly and submission and can handle RFP supplementals.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Develop RFQ and RFP responses that are focused and innovative, that meet client requirements and reflect OCL’s brand guidelines.
- Oversee and coordinate proposal development while engaging multiple disciplines and divisions.
- Support business development and strategic initiatives (events, presentations, marketing materials and website updates), as required.
- Create and maintain an up-to-date library of corporate resumes, project profiles, presentations and photos while following brand standards.
- Responsible for document control activities such as downloading proposal files from client portals, managing client portal passwords and overall maintenance of internal proposal file structure.
- Liaise with the client regarding proposal submission requirements, requests for information, addenda, meetings, etc., as required.
- Assist estimators in the production of labour & material take-offs for each discipline.

**Education and Work Experience Requirements**
- 3+ years experience writing and coordinating proposals, RFP’s and bid packages for the construction industry.
- Degree or diploma in marketing, communications or another related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Works well under pressure with tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent English writing, reading and speaking skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative out of the box thinker.
- Has a passion for marketing, communications and branding.
- detailed knowledge of proposal and marketing procedures, work processes, and tools from both a technical and creative standpoint.
- Comfortable with public speaking and presenting
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); graphic design experience.
- Experience putting together proposals for mechanical, piping, civil and earthworks construction relating to site preparation, drainage, roads and underground utilities, including experience with live operating facilities.
- Experience with estimating software such as InEight.
- Ability to review and understand Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project schedules.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Google Suite of products including Drive, Sheets, Docs, Calendar, etc.
