**_ What you’ll be doing:_**
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and schedules on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Process bi-weekly payroll, and prepare monthly/ annual tax filings.
- Accounting review of expense reports for the company to ensure they are complete and transactions are classified properly for accounting purposes.
- Projects and other administrative items as required.
**_ Who you are:_**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in private companies (accounting firm experience is an asset).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience with payroll processing is an asset.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Netsuite is an asset.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
