**The Position**:
Neelands is searching for a Payroll Specialist to join our team. This position is regular, full-time

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and process weekly payroll using Ceridian Dayforce
- Verify accuracy of data entered from source documents
- Export hours from ERP system and import data into Dayforce
- Compile various monthly payroll reporting (e.g., workers comp, benefits, union dues, etc.)
- Communicate with other departments such as HR to capture changes in payroll (e.g. terminations and new hires)
- Conduct Payroll audits to ensure accuracy and data integrity
- Year-end reporting and reconciliation including issuance of T4’s and W2’s, calculation of automobile benefits etc..
- Ensure compliance with Provincial and State Payroll legislation

**Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years experiences as a payroll specialist or similar role
- Experience using Ceridian Dayforce
- Degree/diploma in payroll (Payroll Compliance Practitioner); accounting or finance background is an asset
- Computer literacy including intermediate to advance Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated organization and proficiency with data entry with high level of accuracy
- Experience processing US payroll is considered an asset
- Experience processing payroll in a Union environment is considered an asset
