- As an Office Administrator in the Elections Calgary Office, you will be responsible for scheduling, training, and providing oversight for Election clerks for the 2025 General Election. As part of your duties, you will create work instructions and processes that election clerks will use to perform their daily work. You will be comfortable working with new technology and assisting others. Primary duties include:

- Direct and coordinate the work of Election Clerks including assigning and monitoring work, overseeing daily operations, scheduling of time off and ensuring adequate coverage.
- Oversee the work of specific teams of Election Clerks and act as the first level of escalation for any questions or issues from the Clerks.
- Track and report on completed and outstanding work.
- Provide training, onboarding and orientations for new Election clerks.
- Assist Elections Calgary leaders and analysts in developing work processes to ensure the timely and accurate completion of Election clerk duties.
- Create work instructions for specific tasks performed by the election clerks.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, taking minutes, preparing and organizing materials, and sending or receiving mail/courier deliveries.
- Respond to public inquiries in-person, over the phone, and by written correspondence.
- Facilitate the purchase of supplies and material for the office.

**Qualifications**
- ** A **completed 1 year certificate in Business Administration or a related field with at least 3 years of related office experience.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is also required.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced administrative environment with a focus on customer service would be considered an asset.
- You have excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail accompanied by strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.

Compensation: Pay Grade 8 $36.58 - 48.91 per hour (2024 Rates)

- Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
