Operations Coordinator

**Job Description**:
M-F, 03:00 - 11:30H
**GENERAL PURPOSE**
Responsible for all administrative functions related to the daily operations of the Service Center, as well as overseeing Freight Handlers in the absence of local leadership.
**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Coordinate daily tasks for Freight Handlers and oversee movement of freight
2. Plan and communicate daily loads to Freight Handlers to ensure freight is delivered on time
3. Coordinate contractors/drivers to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of freight
4. Update and enter data into current system(s)
5. Provide customers with shipment status updates and assist with pick-up and or delivery needs
6. Verify and complete required documentation and reports
7. Support Operations Associates and Freight Handlers as needed
8. Demonstrate internal and external customer service
9. Perform administrative functions (e.g. filing, answering phones, imaging, tracing shipments)
10. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
11. Perform other duties as required

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
- High School diploma, required
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Must have or be willing to obtain forklift certification
- 2 years supervisory experience, preferred
- Bi-Lingual (English/French), preferred; for Province of Quebec, required
**OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous dock/warehouse experience, preferred
- Transportation industry experience, preferred
- Excellent computer skills
- Demonstrated time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
- Good decision-making skills
