We work with bars, restaurants, golf courses and family entertainment centres to help solve problems and drive their businesses to success. We partner with major vendors in the food and beverage space to create marketing packages, presentations and offerings that wow our clients and build their loyalty for years to come. Our role in the industry revolves around marketing, consulting, connecting, communicating and developing expertise so that we become indispensable to our clients and our partners.
We are seeking a **Key Account Manager** to join our team. We are a small, yet complex and growing business, and we need someone who can provide significant inputs (strategy, insights and business acumen) that drive growth and business opportunities. The Key Account Manager will build and implement action plans to foster strategic, long-term growth with our various partners. This role also acts as a strategic partner and advisor to our clients, acquiring a thorough understanding of their needs and continuously proposing new opportunities, solutions and strategies that meet the client’s business objectives.
**Responsibilities**
- Negotiate and finalize contracts and other agreements with clients
- Create company sales and marketing strategies to drive volumes for growth
- Set and achieve company targets and KPIs
- Communicate the value of company offerings both strategically and financially to existing and new partners and clients
- Act as a liaison between partners and clients to identify opportunities, communicate processes, resolve issues, and meet overall business needs
- Make regular sales calls/visits to cultivate client and partner relations and satisfaction
- Build strategic plans for clients that state agreed brand and consumer strategies and insure the delivery of business goals
- Lead the creation of account specific presentations as well as goals for volume, profit, distribution, and merchandising promotion execution
- Run reports and analyze data to uncover insights and make effective decisions.
- Obtain and communicate updated market competitive information
- Develop expert knowledge of all clients
- Recruit new team members; develop and coach XH employees to ensure effective performance
- Other duties as assigned
**Skills/Requirements**
- STRONG understanding of hospitality industry and the multiple layers of Liquor, Beer, Food within Ontario and other provinces
- Smart business acumen & strategic thinking
- Excellent negotiation and creative problems solving skill
- Personable with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships; Exceptional customer service
- Strong leadership capability
- Takes initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with external contacts and internal, cross-functional teams
- Previous experience working for large beer and liquor companies an asset
- 5-7 years of hospitality management, ownership, sales or consulting
- Familiar with Zoho, CRM, or other CRM/database software
- Valid driver’s license required; clean driving record
