Role overview

The On-Trade key account manager's main role is to attain and retain top customers and grow and nurture those key relationships over time. You become a strategic partner and advisor to customers, discovering new opportunities to work together for mutual benefit.

What you'll be doing

  • Your primary duties and responsibilities will be to achieve Provincial sales volume, revenue, distribution and share growth targets in the on-trade channel.
  • As part of the Ontario Sales Management Team, you will develop your vision, strategy and tactics to expand the CCI portfolio across regional and selective national key account customers
  • Establish business relationships with on-trade key account customers where you will advise/provide recommendations regarding Carlsberg products, promotions and sales opportunities; and work with customers to develop account plans and priorities
  • Working with Key Account partners to develop and manage sales budgets and set sales targets.
  • Hold regularly scheduled business reviews with customers to discuss product performance, programming and targets and revise plans where necessary.
  • Develop partnerships in support of the strategy for growth in the on-trade channel.
  • Coordinate and execute marketing programs in collaboration with the channel team regarding the design, implementation and results of the programs.
  • Maintain merchandising standards as per the guidelines given by Carlsberg Canada and the Ontario sales team. Maintain all customer relationships, account and partner information as well as sales data within customer relationship management software (CRM)
  • Work closely and travel with the sales team, in collaboration and alignment with the Sales Leadership team. Providing coaching, feedback, insights and recommendations on the approach within on-trade key accounts.
  • Working Nationally to coordinate key account initiatives with other regions

What we're looking for

  • Post-secondary education in Business or related discipline advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years Key Account experience
  • Great sales successes in CPG/FMCG, beverage/alcohol preferred
  • Existing relationships with Ontario On-trade Key Accounts highly desirable
  • Proven negotiation skills and successes
  • Data centric approach and understanding of key resources (Power BI, Numerator, Nielsen etc.).
  • Experience in planning and forecasting in a collaborative environment
  • Able to manage all aspects of the business relationship.
  • An excellent communicator and presenter
  • Highly motivated with a passion for action and growth.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PPT, Word, Excel).
  • Valid Drivers' License
  • Loves a challenge.
