Business Development Executive

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Executive (BDE) to spearhead our growth into new printed packaging markets, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue from untapped sectors such as food, beverage, and cannabis. Please note: The role is primarily remote, with occasional in-office meetings (up to one day per week). Some local travel will be required to meet with potential clients as needed". Responsibilities
Strategic Market Expansion
- Identify and pursue high-potential opportunities with a focus on food, beverage, cannabis for pressure sensitive labels and flexible packaging and folding carton
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to position the company for long-term success.
- Drive outbound sales efforts to secure high-value accounts and build a robust sales pipeline.
- Engage prospects through networking, cold outreach, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to close deals that align with business goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring their needs are met and opportunities for upselling/cross-selling are identified.
- Partner with account executives to transition closed deals for ongoing account management.
- Work closely with marketing to refine messaging and campaigns based on market insights.
- Provide feedback to leadership on product offerings, pricing, and operational needs to support growth.
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or strategic growth roles, preferably in custom packaging, printing, or a related industry.
- Experience in developing and entering new markets, especially food, beverage, and/or cannabis sectors.
- Familiarity with pressure sensitive labels and/or flexible packaging is a must have
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, sales platforms, and reporting tools.
