IBM Security Services seeks to hire a Business Development Executive. The Business Development Executive will work within a team to identify and qualify opportunities while working in a collaborative environment. Their sales efforts and accomplishments will address the most strategic requirements of the customer/prospect and promise both short and long-term signings and revenue for IBM.

The Business Development Executive (a sales role) maintains an effective business relationship with the client's management team and influences the overall success of Security Service offerings within the Canadian marketplace. They will work to determine the customer’s needs and translate these needs into security solutions and thus opportunities for IBM.

Required Responsibilities:

- Identify, validate and drive new opportunities
- Drive an aggressive annual revenue and signings target while accurately forecasting revenue and effectively managing a sales funnel and overall results
- Perform extensive prospecting within a set of identified accounts across Canada
- Lead/own the service sales deals for selected opportunities through full lifecycle
- Provide client coverage and coordinate face-to-face and program coverage
- Support the development and maintenance of overall Security results
- Lead/support account management activities in conjunction with existing sales teams

**Required Skills**:

- Demonstrated strategic cybersecurity selling skills.
- A track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets
- Proven success in prospecting and managing a territory and/or growing presence within accounts
- Experience and building relationships with corporate-level executives
- Experience managing small pursuits as well as large scale, complex proposals
- Readiness to travel 25% travel annually
- Maintain a positive, keen attitude and a competitive drive

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- A relevant academic background
- 5-10 years of success selling complex consulting services oriented solutions (hardware, software, services, integration, outsourcing, etc.)
- Demonstrable complex strategic selling skills preferred
- A track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets
- Proven success in prospecting and managing a territory and/or growing presence within accounts
- Experience and demonstrable relationships with corporate-level executives
- Experience managing rapid, highly flexible small pursuits as well as large scale, complex proposals
- Written English with experience writing customer proposals
- Proven presentation skills

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
CISSP, CISM or equivalent security certification.

Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
