About You
You are a proactive and driven sales professional with a proven track record of successfully managing opportunities through the entire sales cycle. With a focus on meeting target bookings, revenue, and margin objectives, you have the ability to align your efforts with the company's goals. Your exceptional interpersonal skills enable you to engage confidently with clients, partners, and colleagues at all levels, always maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
You thrive in leading conversations to successful outcomes, whether with customers or channel partners, and have demonstrated experience in drafting winning proposals and responding to bids and tenders. Your ability to understand the science, challenges, and commercial drivers within the Seismology market allows you to tailor solutions that meet the unique needs of your clients. Comfortable navigating cultural differences across geographies, you communicate technical subjects with clarity and confidence, ensuring alignment and satisfaction throughout the sales process.
The Team
The Seismology Sales department at Nanometrics is a dynamic and customer-focused team dedicated to delivering tailored solutions to meet the needs of our clients. As part of this team, you will work alongside experienced professionals who are committed to building strong relationships with both existing and new customers. The team emphasizes customer-centric and solution-based selling, ensuring that we not only meet but exceed customer expectations.
Primary Territory: Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
The Role
- Oversee sales operations and ensure that sales targets are met within the territory .
- Own and drive profitable growth for the assigned region/territory
- Take primary control of existing key accounts to maximize revenue generation
- Identify, onboard, and manage sales channel partners in order to drive growth throughout the assigned region/territory
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identify, nurture, capture, and fulfill growth potential within assigned markets
- Analyze sales data and market trends to develop effective sales strategies.
- Collaborate with Product Management and R&D to provide critical market information to support direction of the product roadmap
- Attend trade shows and scientific workshops relevant to the assigned region
- Working with the Solutions Team, prepare and present value-driven content for proposals, strategic accounts and individual sales opportunities
- Forecast sales projections for assigned region, and drive funnel management
- Expand brand recognition and seek to understand market trends to identify new business ideas in the current and adjacent market
- Inform relevant departments at Nanometrics of emerging market trends, and customer requirements and expectations
- Identify and build relationships with industry experts in the assigned region who support global seismology initiatives
- Engage with the science and customer community to promote Nanometrics various employment opportunities
- 50% travel expected throughout the Region and other regions as required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; preferably in Geosciences
- At least 5 years of previous sales experience
- Previous experience selling to academia and government is considered an asset
- Exceptional interpersonal skills – interacts successfully with all levels of staff – partners, managers, and clients with a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and conditions while under tight timelines
- A proactive service attitude and willingness to take a "hands on and can do" approach
- Multilingual
- Experience working with the Salesforce CRM platform
- Previous sales experience and cultural awareness within assigned territory
- Proficiency with Google Suite of business applications
