Job Description

The Human Resources Manager plays a vital role in supporting the business needs across various aspects, including employee relations, recruitment, retention, compensation, talent review, organization design, resource planning, learning, career development, policy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Management: Oversee full cycle recruitment processes and ensure timely new hire orientation for all employees.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to corporate policies and employment laws to minimize risk and maintain a compliant work environment.
  • Talent Development: Develop and communicate innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to drive business growth and employee engagement.
  • Talent Management: Lead the management of talent management processes, including objective setting, performance evaluations, learning and development initiatives, succession planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Lead due diligence on target acquisitions and oversee the integration of acquired businesses.
  • Employee Engagement: Motivate staff to achieve their best by managing individual and team goals, coaching, counseling, mentoring, and planning.
  • Data Management: Ensure timely and accurate updates of employee data within the HRIS system.
  • Business Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with internal clients to support the talent strategy and drive business outcomes.
  • Analytics and Performance Metrics: Collect and analyze HR data to measure the effectiveness of the team and identify opportunities for improvement in HR services and processes.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Work remotely and travel occasionally as required.

  • Interpersonal Skills: An open, honest, and empathetic manner is required to build trust and rapport with employees at all levels.
  • Leadership and Management: Ability to manage and measure team work, setting clear goals and objectives to drive results.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of HR applications and MS Office is necessary to perform administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Employment Laws: Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations is essential to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Adaptability and Decision-Making: Comfortable with change and able to make decisions without having the total picture, demonstrating sound judgment and integrity.
  • Drive for Results: Strong drive for results and attention to detail are critical in achieving business outcomes and delivering high-quality services.
  • Integrity and Honesty: High level of integrity, honesty, and sound judgment are expected in all aspects of this role.
  • Experience: 4-7 years of experience at the Generalist level with a focus on employee relations and managing multi-location facilities, as well as 2-3 years of experience managing others, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the technology industry with high volumes of activity and supporting large matrixed organizations is highly desirable.
