Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Black Sage Bistro Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring high-quality food is served to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
