About the Role

Nextrux Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use your technical expertise to detect faults and malfunctions in our heavy trucks.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults and determine the extent of repair required.
  • Adjust and Repair Equipment: Adjust and repair or replace defective parts to ensure our trucks are running efficiently.
  • Test and Verify Repairs: Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications and is safe for operation.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment.
  • Heavy Truck Repair: Perform repair work on our heavy trucks, including emission control systems.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Possess good hand-eye coordination to perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Be able to stand for extended periods while working on equipment.
