About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Nextrux Transport Ltd. as a Heavy Truck Diesel Mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fleet of heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment

You will be responsible for detecting faults and malfunctions in our heavy trucks and equipment, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.

Diagnose and Repair Faults

You will diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment, and then repair or replace defective parts as needed.

Perform Routine Maintenance

You will perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work on our heavy trucks.

Verify and Repair Emission Control Systems

You will verify and repair emission control systems on our heavy trucks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Work in a Fast-Paced Environment

You will work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks as required.

Requirements
  • Education

You must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

You must have at least 3 years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in diesel mechanics and heavy truck repair.

Physical Capabilities

You must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.

Personal Suitability

You must be accurate, flexible, and able to work well in a team environment.

Working Conditions

You will work in a fast-paced environment, with a regular 40-hour workweek and a permanent employment contract.

The language of work is English.
