About the Role

Nextrux Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, ensuring timely and efficient repairs.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' standards.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks, including emission control systems.
  • Verify and repair emission control systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other routine maintenance tasks as required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and bending.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in diesel mechanics.
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Judgement and reliability in performing tasks and making decisions.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
