About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at SANDHER TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIR LTD. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use computerized and other testing equipment to detect faults and malfunctions in heavy trucks and trailers.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Diagnose faults or malfunctions and repair or replace defective parts to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Perform Maintenance Work: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on heavy trucks and trailers.
  • Repair and Test Equipment: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
Work Environment

The work environment is physically demanding, with a high level of noise. The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel.

Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding work environment, with a high level of noise.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, team player, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work 30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term. The work language is English.
