HVAC Mechanical Sales Representative

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is proud to partner with a leading manufacturer and distributor in the HVAC space in North America. Our client is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Sales Representative to join their Kelowna branch.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for promoting all mechanical manufacturers represented by the company and providing accurate and timely support to stakeholders in the HVAC industry. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with industry stakeholders, promoting the sale of mechanical equipment, and project managing the sales cycle from initial enquiry to end of warranty period.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders to grow sales and expand market share in accordance with company goals and objectives.
- Promote the sale of mechanical equipment, including air handling units, make up air units, roof top package units, dedicated outdoor air units, heat pumps, chillers, and VRF.
- Self-educate and attend manufacturer's factory/training visits to ensure up-to-date knowledge of latest product developments and software tools.
- Understand and remain current with industry and local codes and regulations, and market trends to ensure compliance and exploit opportunities.
- Service the engineering community in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain an understanding of competitor's product offerings.
- Cross train on other mechanical products and air-side products to identify opportunities for other represented products.
- Train and support colleagues on all aspects of mechanical equipment.
- Plan and implement new product introductions to the market.
- Visit job sites as needed to address on-site challenges.
- Plan and accompany customers on factory visits.
- Be a member of ASHRAE and attend monthly ASHRAE meetings.
- Organize and attend trade shows as requested.
- Attend all divisional and office meetings.
- Assist in customer events as required.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience selling HVAC-related mechanical equipment, with 5 or more years preferred.
- Professional Engineering Degree or Diploma in Engineering Technology.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
- Understanding of how to read and interpret construction drawings.
