Job Title: Mechanical Sales Representative

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading HVAC manufacturer and distributor to fill a Mechanical Sales Representative position in their Kelowna branch.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to promote our comprehensive product line and provide exceptional support to stakeholders in the HVAC industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including engineers, architects, contractors, and developers, to grow sales and expand market share.
  • Promote the sale of mechanical equipment, including air handling units, make-up air units, and roof top package units.
  • Identify and maximize opportunities, interpret schedules and construction drawings, and prepare quotations and tenders.
  • Negotiate sales and project manage the entire sales cycle from initial enquiry to end of warranty period.
  • Self-educate on the latest product developments and software tools, and attend manufacturer's factory visits.
  • Understand and remain current with industry and local codes and regulations, and market trends.
  • Service the engineering community in an accurate and timely manner, and maintain an understanding of competitor's product offerings.
  • Visit engineering firms regularly, conduct lunch and learn presentations, and cross-train on other mechanical products.
  • Train and support colleagues on air-side products, and plan and implement new product introductions to the market.
  • Visit job sites as needed, and plan and accompany customers on factory visits.
  • Be a member of ASHRAE and attend monthly meetings, and organize and attend trade shows when requested.
  • Assist in customer events, and perform other duties assigned by your manager.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience selling HVAC related mechanical equipment, with a thorough knowledge of mechanical products.
  • Professional Engineering Degree or a Diploma in Engineering Technology.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Understanding of how to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Positive attitude, exemplary attendance, ethical business practices, and a reliable team member.
