We are partnering with a leading HVAC manufacturer and distributor to find a skilled HVAC Sales Representative to join their team in Kelowna.

About the Position

This is a unique opportunity to work with a reputable company in the HVAC industry, offering a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and close deals with customers, demonstrating a strong understanding of the job market.
  • Provide feedback to the estimating team on bids and pricing, including workload forecasting.
  • Assist engineers with product selection and layout projects.
  • Review purchase orders and bid documents to optimize profitability.
  • Create PBY files for the support team to issue submittals.
  • Process orders from customer lists in the absence of the support team.
  • Manage and process change orders and site instructions, including pricing.
  • Resolve discrepancies with customers or site contacts.
  • Track orders and deliveries, providing ETAs to customers.
  • Notify customers when orders arrive and arrange delivery if required.
  • Close out projects once complete, fully invoiced, and maintenance documentation submitted.
  • Provide quotes for jobs not listed on the bid boards, including email requests.
  • Enter quotes with proper association to product codes, as illustrated in the branch's handbook.
  • Train staff in all phases of the sales process to ensure continuation of expected service levels.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, with a customer-first approach to business.
  • Consistently improve the quality of service to meet client expectations and minimize costs.
  • Ensure adequate service levels and conduct review studies to determine cause, effect, and corrective actions.
  • Self-educate and attend manufacturer's factory/training visits to stay up-to-date on the latest product developments and software tools.
  • Build sustainable customer relationships and trust through open communication.
  • Represent the company at site meetings as required.
  • Assist in customer events, such as open houses, sporting events, lunches, etc.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position (inside or outside sales).
  • University degree or college diploma.
  • EIT classification is an asset.
  • HVAC experience is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and resourceful.
  • Ready to bring positivity, energy, and enthusiasm to the workplace.
  • Professional approach to business and the workplace.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure unsupervised.
  • Strong work ethic guided by personal integrity and mutual respect.
