Licensed Practical Nurse

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Wound Prevention and Management Program. As a Pressure Injury Prevention LPN, you will play a key role in supporting education related to existing and new pressure injury prevention strategies and the translation of knowledge to practice.
Key responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating facility and unit-based pressure injury initiatives. You will work collaboratively with unit and facility-based teams to advance pressure injury prevention practice within teams in Central Zone.
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses, current LPN registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing, and a minimum of 3 years of full-time clinical experience in an area with exposure to pressure injury prevention and management practices.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated initiative and innovative problem-solving, and skills in the facilitation of practice development. Computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and documentation systems, are also essential.
Additional certifications, such as Skin Wellness Associate Nurse (SWAN), are an asset. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are also an asset.
