About the Opportunity

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Pressure Injury Prevention Support plays a key role in supporting education related to existing and new pressure injury prevention strategies and the translation of knowledge to practice related to pressure injury prevention. This LPN works with unit and facility-based teams to advance pressure injury prevention practice within teams in Central Zone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate facility and unit-based pressure injury initiatives
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to support education and knowledge translation
  • Contribute to advancing pressure injury prevention practice within teams

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Current LPN registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time clinical experience in an area with exposure to pressure injury prevention and management practices
  • BLS-C (HCP) certification
  • Working knowledge of best practices for pressure injury prevention
