The Alberta Health Services is seeking an Administrative Support V to join the Edmonton Zone Medical Affairs team. As an Administrative Support V, you will play a vital role in supporting and managing our Medical Staff workforce, including recruitment, development, and remuneration.

The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Physician Agreements, and provide a range of supporting duties to the Manager and Physician Agreements team. This will include coordinating clinical contracts with physicians and related invoices, managing clinical stipend contracts, and entering and tracking payments of stipends from contracts in a database.

You will also be responsible for providing cover-off for other positions on the Physician Agreements team and potentially for other teams in Medical Affairs. Key responsibilities will include data entry, communication with team members, physicians, and program and site staff, anticipating team member and stakeholder needs, troubleshooting payment and contract issues, collecting and updating vendor information, balancing multiple priorities, coordinating activities, and editing meeting materials.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices, and initiatives within a department or program.

Key qualifications for this position include a completion of post-secondary education (e.g., certificate in office or business administration) and superior skills/attributes in using MS Excel, attention to detail, writing, customer service, organization, and proficiency in other programs like Word, Access, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe.

A high level of capability in using Excel is required, as well as comfort with some financial analysis, such as accrual and variance activities, which would be an asset. Knowledge of different types of physician compensation and core business of Medical Affairs is beneficial.

We are offering a competitive salary of $65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, and excellent benefits package.
