We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Practitioner to join our team at Asperia Medical Clinic Inc.

About the Job

This is a permanent position, offering 35 to 40 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medicine and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

The Medical Practitioner will be responsible for:

  1. Collecting medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals
  2. Examing patients' health condition to identify diseases and injuries
  3. Helping patients develop healthy habits, break old habits and reshape their approach to wellness
  4. Ordering laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment
  5. Consulting with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
  6. Prescribing and administering medications and treatments
  7. Inoculating and vaccinating patients to prevent and treat diseases
  8. Participating in health care policy and planning
  9. Advising patients on healthcare
  10. Reporting births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities
  11. Being the patient advocate
  12. Coordinating or managing primary patient care
  13. Providing counseling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
  14. Providing emergency care

The ideal candidate will hold the following certifications:

  1. College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  2. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
