Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Medicine Division Chief to lead our team at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and quality of care provided by our medical staff, as well as driving academic activity and operational excellence within the division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead clinical care, teaching, research, and advocacy in the Division of Pediatric Medicine
  • Oversee the safety and quality of care provided by medical staff within the division
  • Drive academic activity and operational excellence within the division
  • Collaborate with administrative dyad to oversee operational resources and evaluate, design, and implement efficient clinical delivery processes and team models
  • Develop and implement comprehensive patient care programs, clinical program development, education, research, and quality assurance initiatives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to medical staff, ensuring excellence in patient care and academic activity
Requirements
  • Eligibility for a full-time academic appointment in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa at a rank commensurate to experience and academic contributions
  • Strong operational and academic leadership skills, with a proven record of achievement in comprehensive patient care, clinical program development, education, research, and quality assurance
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Pediatrics) certified/eligible, or equivalent, and eligible for medical license in Ontario
