Job Summary:
CHEO (Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario) is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Division Chief and pediatric psychiatrist. This individual will lead a team of 12 fellowship-trained physicians in providing comprehensive and specialized psychiatric and mental health services to children and youth, age 0-18, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead clinical care, teaching, and research in the Division of Hospital-Based Psychiatry
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and team performance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care and services
- Recruit and retain top talent to join the team
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in pediatric psychiatry
Requirements:
- Eligibility for a full-time academic appointment in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa
- License to practice medicine with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Canada or equivalent
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a bilingual environment (English and French)
