Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Pediatrician to lead our Pediatric Medicine Division as Division Chief. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and quality of care provided by our medical staff, as well as driving academic activity and operational excellence within the division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical staff leadership and oversee the safety and quality of care provided by the division
  • Drive academic activity and research initiatives within the division
  • Collaborate with the administrative dyad to oversee operational resources and implement efficient clinical delivery processes
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Lead and manage a team of academic general pediatricians
Requirements
  • Eligibility for a full-time academic appointment in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa
  • Strong operational and academic leadership skills
  • Proven record of achievement in comprehensive patient care, clinical program development, education, research, and/or quality assurance
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Pediatrics) certification/eligibility, or equivalent
  • Eligibility for medical license in Ontario
