Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bus Technical Support Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for determining root cause and corrective action for issues affecting our products in service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend course of action to solve problems brought to the department by the field staff or the customer directly.
  • Work with the Production Engineering and New Product Development staff as needed to ensure design changes are appropriate.
  • Investigate, identify, and resolve product problems of varying difficulty with the appropriate department(s), including suppliers.
  • Create ECNs within Teamcenter using our engineering procedures and policies.
  • Answer incoming calls from internal customers or TSSs and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
  • Supply Technical Publications Department with updated information for the manuals as well as suggestions on how to improve the information in our manuals.
  • Stay up to date with training on pertinent systems in our vehicle to enable the CEBS team to be intimately familiar with the bus electrical systems.
  • Resolves customer problems or complaints effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Co-ordinates own tasks to ensure schedule dates are met considering Supplier and Customer timelines.
  • Assists with controlled testing of components and installations to meet contractual obligations, ensure product reliability and verify component fit.

Requirements

  • Engineering background (PENG, CET, EIT).
  • 2 – 5 years experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Highly Technical, Engineering background (PENG, CET, EIT).
  • TEAMS, TeamCenter NX, Highly Technical, engineering background (PENG, CET, EIT).
  • Computer, CAN data logger.
  • High Problem Solving skills.
  • Customer Service Background with high organizational skills.
  • Leadership qualities, motivating and self-starter.
