Safety Manager

Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of field workers and supporting the company in achieving safety excellence. This individual will assist sites in identifying potential hazards and recommend responsible solutions to mitigate the identified hazards. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist sites in identifying potential hazards and recommend responsible solutions to mitigate the identified hazards.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement safety programs and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety conditions and provide guidance to site personnel.
- Collaborate with site personnel to identify and address safety concerns.
- Develop and maintain safety training programs for site personnel.
- Conduct incident investigations and develop recommendations for preventing similar incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. occupational health and safety, environmental science, etc.).
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification is required.
- 5+ years of varied construction safety experience, including commercial and industrial settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
