Job Description

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a safety-related role, with a proven track record of managing teams and implementing safety protocols.

Work Setting: A dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on education and research.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  2. Lead and manage a team of safety professionals to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  3. Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
  4. Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement safety-related budgets and plans.
  5. Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees are aware of safety protocols and procedures.
  6. Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry partners to stay up-to-date on safety best practices.
Supervision

5-10 direct reports.

Work Term

Permanent, full-time position.

Work Language: English.

Hours: 35 hours per week.
