- Evaluate Daily Operations: Conduct regular assessments of daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Plan and Control Budget and Expenditures: Develop and manage budgets for safety-related initiatives and expenditures.
- Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to ensure the smooth operation of daily activities.
- Establish and Implement Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the Analysis of Employee Data and Information: Analyze employee data and information to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Oversee the Preparation of Reports: Prepare and submit reports to senior management on safety-related matters.
- Advise Senior Management: Provide expert advice to senior management on safety-related matters.
- Respond to Employee Questions and Complaints: Respond to employee questions and complaints related to safety.
- Liaise with Management, Union Officials and HR Consultants: Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Organize Staff Consultation and Grievance Procedures: Develop and implement procedures for staff consultation and grievance resolution.
- Recruit and Hire Staff: Recruit and hire staff to support the safety function.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews of safety staff to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
- Evaluate Work Environments, Programs and Procedures to Control, Eliminate, and Prevent Disease or Injury: Conduct regular evaluations of work environments, programs, and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a safety-related role.
- Supervision: 5-10 people.
