About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees on all HR-related inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist with recruitment initiatives, including coordinating interviews, liaising with departmental leads, and conducting interviews in partnership with hiring managers.
  • Create official internal documents, such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters.
  • Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action.
  • Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews.
  • Review company-wide policies to ensure compliance with rules and regulations, such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Employment Standards Act.
  • Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook.
  • Manage employee relations, including coordinating sensitive conversations and engaging employees.
  • Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources Assistant or Human Resources Coordinator position.
  • Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Experienced with full-cycle recruitment and onboarding.
  • Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Employment Standards Act.
  • Prior experience assisting with payroll, such as tracking leaves of absences and vacation.
  • Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal business skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects.
