Job Summary

The Senior Hotel Sales Director will oversee the sales department for properties with bookings exceeding parameters of the Group Sales teams within the Sales Office. This role requires a seasoned leader to develop and implement property-wide strategies that drive sales, revenue, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements sales goals and strategies aligned with the brand business strategy.
  • Verifies that Sales team understands and is leveraging Marriott International (MI) demand engines to full potential.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources, Engineering, and Loss Prevention to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and/or union requirements.
  • Partners with Human Resources to attract, develop, and retain top talent to support the strategic priorities of the market.
  • Sets goals and expectations for direct reports using the Leadership Performance Process (LPP), aligns performance and rewards, addresses performance issues, and holds staff accountable for successful results.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in sales and marketing or related professional area, preferably in the hotel industry.
  • Demonstrated skills in supervising a team, developing strong partnerships with local organizations, and executing exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Strong understanding of the hotel's primary target customer and service expectations, as well as the ability to analyze data to inform sales strategies.
  • Familiarity with Marriott International's systems and processes, including MI demand engines.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Estimated Salary Range
$118,000 - $149,000 annually
