Senior Hotel Sales Director

The Senior Hotel Sales Director will oversee the sales department for properties with bookings exceeding parameters of the Group Sales teams within the Sales Office. This role requires a seasoned leader to develop and implement property-wide strategies that drive sales, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and implements sales goals and strategies aligned with the brand business strategy.
- Verifies that Sales team understands and is leveraging Marriott International (MI) demand engines to full potential.
- Collaborates with Human Resources, Engineering, and Loss Prevention to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and/or union requirements.
- Partners with Human Resources to attract, develop, and retain top talent to support the strategic priorities of the market.
- Sets goals and expectations for direct reports using the Leadership Performance Process (LPP), aligns performance and rewards, addresses performance issues, and holds staff accountable for successful results.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in sales and marketing or related professional area, preferably in the hotel industry.
- Demonstrated skills in supervising a team, developing strong partnerships with local organizations, and executing exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Strong understanding of the hotel's primary target customer and service expectations, as well as the ability to analyze data to inform sales strategies.
- Familiarity with Marriott International's systems and processes, including MI demand engines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Estimated Salary Range
$118,000 - $149,000 annually
