About the Role
The successful candidate will lead the HR function, supporting organizational growth and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll play a key role in fostering a high-performance culture, managing HR policies and programs, and delivering innovative solutions in areas such as recruitment, retention, training, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goals and support organizational culture.
- Partner with site leadership to anticipate and meet current and future HR needs.
- Lead key HR functions, including talent management, succession planning, total rewards, and employee development.
- Oversee the implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organizational standards.
- Manage departmental budgets, including employee cost forecasting and expense control.
- Actively engage in global HR initiatives and collaborate with other teams to share best practices.
- Monitor and report on HR effectiveness through key performance indicators.
About You
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- A post-secondary degree in Human Resources or Business Management.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a mid-to-senior management role.
- A strong understanding of Alberta employment law and HR best practices.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage conflicts and lead through change.
- A commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
