Job Summary

The Critical Care Respiratory Therapist is a key member of the healthcare team at Hamilton Health Sciences. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced respiratory therapist to provide specialized care to critically ill patients in various clinical settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in ICU, CCU, and other critical care units
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Operate hyperbaric unit and participate in emergency hyperbaric needs
  • Participate in Code Blue team and RACE team as needed
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
  • Current General Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO)
  • Valid BCLS and ACLS certifications
  • Recent 2 years experience in adult critical care setting
  • Demonstrated skills and ability in ECG interpretations, pressure monitoring, airway management, and mechanical ventilation
Working Conditions

This position requires flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be required to maintain valid certifications and stay up-to-date with best practices in respiratory care.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience. Hamilton Health Sciences offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional development and advancement.
