Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapy department at Hamilton Health Sciences is a dynamic team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to providing exceptional respiratory care to patients in a variety of clinical settings. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting the respiratory needs of patients in ICU, CCU, and other specialized units.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized respiratory care to patients in ICU, CCU, and other critical care settings
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement respiratory care plans
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices
- Conduct ECG interpretations, pressure monitoring, and airway management
- Perform adult oral endotracheal intubation, arterial blood gas sampling, and tracheostomy management and care
- Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
- Current General Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO)
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) exam
- Valid BCLS and ACLS certifications
- Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in an adult critical care setting
- Recent RACE experience preferred
- Recent hyperbaric experience and/or training preferred
