Job Summary

WJS Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator 2 Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

About the Role

This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring that all necessary facilities and equipment are in place, and implementing program activities and special events. The successful candidate will also be responsible for formulating program policies and procedures, evaluating the program, and supervising program staff and contractors.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in one of the humanities, social sciences, or a related field, and at least three years of experience in a similar facility or program. A valid Class 5 Driver's License, current WCB Occupational First Aid, Level 1, and CPR certificates, as well as experience with basic sign language and/or alternative communication strategies training or experience, are required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the program
  • Implement program activities and special events
  • Formulate program policies and procedures
  • Evaluate the program
  • Supervise program staff and contractors
  • Recruit and select program staff and contractors
  • Schedule program staff and set up placements
  • Orient, train, and provide support to program staff, contractors, volunteers, and practicum students
  • Promote public awareness of and support for the program
  • Liaise with community service providers and other professionals
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in one of the humanities, social sciences, or a related field
  • At least three years of experience in a similar facility or program
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License

Estimated Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
