The successful candidate will have a strong background in program management, with experience in coordinating academic programs, scheduling, and communication with staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and supervising academic staff, with guidance from the Academic or Operations Director
  • Managing payroll for academic staff, including college contractors
  • Scheduling and coordinating Vanwest programs based on student numbers and operational needs, with guidance from the Academic Director and Operations Director
  • Emailing and coordinating with staff members and instructors/teachers regarding updates and information
  • Managing files and documents in an organized and accessible manner
  • Developing systems to enhance administrative workflows for the department
  • Scheduling meetings and events for the department
  • Tracking attendance issues for students using a reporting system
  • Monitoring and alerting concerned departments about student academic progress
  • Ordering textbooks and managing academic inventory
  • Alerting/Coordinating with the front desk and operations team about subbing arrangements in advance
  • Coordination with Student Advisors regarding routine issues
  • Managing and maintaining academic information for students
  • Correspondence with students regarding program/schedule changes and valuable information
