Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data & Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team at Fresh Tracks Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization by developing seamless data pipelines, enabling actionable reporting and modeling, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and reporting to support business decisions
- Lead data processing solutions and proactively identify gaps and opportunities in collaboration with data science, Business Intelligence, and business stakeholders
- Develop and deploy data models and analysis for business processes, data usage, and process design
- Conduct in-depth data analyses to uncover new data science opportunities and business insights
- Enhance data governance, security frameworks, and data integration to ensure data integrity
- Document assumptions, requirements, methodologies, and test plans, facilitating knowledge sharing
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends and communicate findings
- Coordinate model-driven process engineering and automation data/process initiatives
- Stay current with data engineering best practices and continually develop new techniques
- 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering
- 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- 2+ years of experience with Looker and LookML development
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience in data pipeline architecture
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
- Experience building data warehouses, scalable data pipelines, and provisioning self-serve data solutions in cloud-service environment
- Proficient in handling large and complex datasets, from extraction to visualization
- Experience connecting systems using APIs, Python code, or Bash scripts
- Strong working knowledge of ETL and CDC processes, analysis, troubleshooting, and code review
- GCP Professional Data Engineer Certification
- Experience with Dataform and Vertex AI model deployment
- Machine Learning Engineering experience
- Experience with data science or data analytics projects
- Familiarity with analyzing user behavior data using tools like Amplitude
- Solid understanding of foundational statistical concepts
- Experience supporting ML and AI experiments, business intelligence, and data science models
- Understanding of high-volume data processing, relational and NoSQL databases, and machine learning tools/frameworks
