Job Title: Sr. Data Developer

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Developer to join our team at Electronic Arts Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, data modeling, and data warehousing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement efficient data pipelines to move and transform data, ensuring high-quality and accurate datasets.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to develop complex ETL pipelines that support dashboards for promoting deeper understanding of our games and operational processes.
  • Develop and establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, staying informed of the latest trends and research on all aspects of data engineering and analytics.
  • Work with analysts to gather requirements, model, and design solutions to support reporting analytics and exploratory analysis.
  • Implement efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines to move and transform data, ensuring high-quality and accurate datasets.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience in a data engineering role.
  • Expertise in SQL Server/T-SQL, with proficiency in writing performant SQL queries and scripts.
  • Extensive knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Experience developing Python and C#/.NET solutions, with knowledge of SSIS and PowerShell.
  • Experience working with cloud environments, databases, and workflows such as Azure, GCP, and AWS, as well as knowledge of cloud-based databases such as Snowflake.
  • Experience in debugging, root cause analysis, monitoring, and data pipelines operations support.
  • Familiarity with SQL engines and ability to conduct advanced performance tuning and query execution optimization.
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Experience with engineering development ecosystem involving Git, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, code release, and deployment.
  • Comfortable working with a multi-functional team, both locally and remote, understanding the perspectives of each partner.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and familiar with process management tools such as JIRA, Target process, Trello, or similar.
