Bennett Jones is a leading international law firm with a strong presence in Canada and the United States. We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our national Client & Business Development Team.

The Role:

The Business Development Specialist will be a key member of our team, responsible for identifying and pursuing opportunities for revenue generation and brand awareness in the Quebec market. This individual will work closely with our lawyers and practice teams to support their business development planning and execution, including the identification and pursuit of opportunities in the Quebec market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Montreal lawyers and practice teams with their business development planning and execution.
  • Articulate and optimize the ways in which we sell our Quebec capabilities nationally to existing and prospective clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to build brand awareness and client loyalty in the local market.
  • Work with our Proposals & Pursuits team to develop and edit proposals, positioning decks, and other marketing materials.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to leverage our lawyers' U.S. and international referral relationships.
  • Ensure client contact and activity information is tracked and maintained in our CRM system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Communications, PR, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in business, marketing, or sales in a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of the business environment in Montreal and surrounding areas.
  • Fluently bilingual with oral and written mastery of the French language.
  • Strong communications and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
