The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to fill the role of Director, Extended Benefits and Client Service Unit. As a key member of the Drug Plan and Extended Benefits Branch, Ministry of Health, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs related to extended benefits and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and programs that align with the Ministry's goals and objectives.
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Extended Benefits and Client Service Unit, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.
- Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, including service provider groups, Saskatchewan Health Authority, and other government agencies.
- Program Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs related to extended benefits and client service.
- Change Management: Lead and manage change initiatives within the Unit, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to services.
Requirements:
- Post-graduate degree in business or public administration, health economics, or a related field.
- Several years of senior experience in a comparable field, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of change and project management principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a government agency or a related field.
- Knowledge of the Saskatchewan health care system and related policies.
- Ability to speak an Indigenous language.
