Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a diverse team, with multiple, competing priorities in a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships with clients and teams across the Ministry of Trade and Export Development.
  • Lead financial services for the ministry, including providing financial and accounting advice and expertise to areas regarding government accounting policies, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and legislation.
  • Lead and facilitate the development of the Ministry's budget and managing the development, implementation, analysis, and evaluation of the monthly or quarterly forecasts.
  • Lead operational services to the ministry in the areas of access and privacy, records management, legislation, information technology, ministry procurement, and accommodations.

Requirements

  • A professional accounting designation with a degree in business administration, accounting, or similar course of study.
  • Experience and knowledge of resource management, budget, and forecast processes.
  • A proven track record in implementing strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Strong ability to ensure employees and clients' needs come first.
  • Experience with developing partnerships with both clients and stakeholders.
